Plan A Materials Warehouse is a consortia of circular economy operators based in Edinburgh. Plan A was established by the Directors of EALA Impacts CIC in 2023 after years of looking for a functioning circular economy supply chain for their work as designers and specifiers. EALA’s work has included circular economy consultancy for Zero Waste Scotland, North Lanarkshire Council, Capital Theatres, and the Energy Transition Zone in Aberdeen. These exercises demonstrated a need for an eco-system approach to creating the circular economy, where no one piece can work without the rest.

Many amazing circular economy operators already exist. In coming together we have started to create this eco-system, and can spot the gaps needed to make it function. These gaps are opportunities for existing manufacturers to move into, new social enterprises to be started, and clients to evolve. By looking at the whole system, Plan A aims to support all parts of this new economy.
